Our mission statement:​

DAFRec was started in order to circumvent the current music industry in the hopes that any artist, producer, or DJ would have an outlet in order to release their creations regardless of connections or membership to an industrial inner-circle. DAFClothing is a continuation of that idea, in that the shirts are designed by what looks like fun to wear. There is no comparison to what the other clothing companies are doing, because DAFClothing doesn’t want to compare. There is no trend, because DAFClothing doesn’t pay attention to what everyone else is doing. Much like the label, DAFClothing doesn’t exist for society’s approval, public opinion, or a contest of popularity. We want to do things our own way, and we encourage others to do so.
DAFRec was started as an avenue to channel musical creativity, and a way for artists to share their creations. We know that in order to get the best results from the artist we can’t adhere to a formula, so we adhere to creative freedom. The goal is not money, or fame, or feeding an ego, the goal is to let an artist be who they want to be, and that same philosophy is carried over to our clothing.
The designs for DAFClothing aren’t approved in a focus group, or polled in a mall. Our designs come from what we like, and we hope that somewhere out there others will find enjoyment from them. They say you can’t please everyone, so instead we will offer a pleasure to be sought out by the individual, not the masses. We are laid-back, and we hope to draw others who share or philosophy for individual freedoms and creativity not found in other labels or clothing brands.
The beauty of our country is that we can be who we want, without seeking the approval of others, and we want that freedom for all. Our acronym may be considered “not family friendly”, but we’re not here to be friends with your family based off of a couple of letters. We can be friends from the sharing of our individuality, and the clothing will continue to reflect that notion. We believe in the freedom of expression, we believe that everyone should have a creative voice, and we believe that by working together we can achieve our individual goals. To be DAF is to be you, and nobody can take that away unless you let them.
